Mayfair College has been a registered training organisation (RTO) since 2005, delivering nationally accredited qualifications, industry recognised short courses and regulatory licensing courses to the hospitality industry; this includes Front of House courses and Back of House.
The College has a clear focus on delivering these courses and qualifications under the guidelines of the VET (Vocational Education and Training) Quality Framework. We also adopt a clear mandate of ensuring Mayfair College remains compliant with the Standards for National Registered Training Organisations to ensure students are given every opportunity to succeed with their training.
Mayfair College is one of the few hospitality colleges where the students are directly linked to an industry workplace leader. Vocational placement with our industry partner (Mantle Group) ensures that our students get real-world experience in a workplace environment that provides a high level of one-on-one guidance and quality tuition standards.
The teaching staff at Mayfair College have amassed a great deal of industry experience within their chosen fields. This also includes keeping up to date with educational and training conventions. This level of industry currency is reflective of the successful outcomes of students studying with Mayfair College.
Mayfair College has three campuses; all fully equipped and conveniently positioned in and around the heart of the Brisbane CBD (Central Business District). The main campus is located within the iconic ‘Queen Street Mall’. Other classrooms are located within a short journey of the CBD & East Brisbane. The Mantle Group restaurants are also located in around the Brisbane CBD and outer suburbs. Public transport is easily accessible between campuses as well as the various vocational placement venues.
The hospitality industry is one of the few industries where ‘customer service’ has many facets to the outcome of the customer experience. People who work in the industry have a genuine passion to provide the best in quality customer service; customer service does not just involve greeting the customer at the entrance and serving a meal and a beverage. It can also involve operations, business management, training, customer service, marketing and communications, and human resources.
Mayfair College will continue to provide the training platform for high quality hospitality training and has plans to incorporate training for students who want to be part of the support network that provides the front-end personnel with the tools and resources to continue to provide a high level of service to customers.
To accommodate this Mayfair College plans to include the following accredited courses in the not-so distant future:
• BSB30120 - Certificate III in Business (Business Administration)
• SIT60322 - Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management
• SIT40721 - Certificate IV in Patisserie
